Cougar Snow Park

Cougar Snow Park is located in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest near Mt. St. Helens in Washington State. This park offers some of the most stunning views of the Cascade Mountains and surrounding valleys, making it a popular destination for skiers and snowboarders alike. The terrain varies from gentle rolling slopes to steep runs and wide open bowls, giving skiers and snowboarders of all abilities a great variety of choices. Cougar Snow Park also offers a tubing area perfect for those just wanting to have some fun in the snow. Access point for the Kalama Ski Trail, and 81 road snowmobile route. The trail system offers 25 miles of snowmobile trails and 18 kilometers ungroomed ski trails. All trails are multi-use and shared with non-motorized recreationists. Parking for approximately 15 vehicles.

This is a smaller park that is used during the winter for more snowmobiling and cross-country skiing. A Sno-Park permit is required to park here during the winter. It is much less busy that the nearby Marble Mountain Sno-Park if you are looking to be more isolated.

The terrain varies from gentle rolling slopes to steep runs and wide open bowls, giving riders plenty of options depending on their experience level. Cougar Snow Park also has a dedicated tubing area that’s great for those who just want to have some fun in the snow without any gear or skill necessary.

Sno-Park is open for the season. Please check weather conditions before traveling on the 83 road. For current road conditions contact Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument. Sno-park passes are required December 1-March 31.
